Twelth week! (23/3/20) - (27/3/20)

My first week of working at home fully!
I've mainly been working on social media posts for next week as I'm going to be on a training call with escalla, as well as rebranding some powerpoints for Carl and going over g-cloud 12 applications with Simon. I also started writing my monthly report. I've had lots of online meetings.
I've been working a lot on the Showreel, we now have footage for Job Planning. All thats left is MSF footage and recording in the office (which will hopefully eventually be done!) and it should be ready!
I finally finished my competitor analysis report, and have continued revising for my first exam - whenever it's going to be due to the Coronavirus I have no clue!
I've been keeping in contact with my colleagues and there has always been work to be getting on with.

Eleventh week! (16/03/20)

This week has been... something to say the least.
We were in the office on Monday as usual, creating social media posts, I was running over G-Cloud with Simon, and we had some discussions over how we're using Hootsuite and decided to keep using it, and we were doing further work on the demo. But then Simon decided it would be best if we stayed home on Tuesday/Wednesday and worked from home due to the Coronavirus. Simon asked us to post a statement on social media to let our clients know what was going on.
Staying at home is going to be difficult in the forseeable future since a lot of the footage we need for the showreel needs to be recorded in the office. Thankfully we have a lot of 'dummy' footage we can use as placeholders in the meantime to get a glimpse of what the finished product will look like.
So I worked on this at home, aliasing with Ahmed on FaceTime so we were both up to speed on what eachother were doing. Our main focus at the minute is the Showreel but we're keeping up to speed with our usual duties as best we can. We originally had until the 13th of April to finish the whole showreel but we're hoping this will now be pushed back since this situation is out of our control.
I heard back from Mind regarding our escalla Citizenship project and we have been assigned someone to help us with our event. Unsure of how this is going to play out though due to the pandemic.
We now have 2 minutes worth of showreel that we can work with. We still need logins for Job Planning and MSF so we can screen record that footage. I also need to get some key points of MSF. We're making the showreel in Photoshop and it's really handy actually.
I'm aiming to finish my competitor analysis report as I write this, I'm still revising for the first exam (whenever it is) and have yet to start on my other reports, but I'm thinking that working on home will help me get this done quicker than I would at work.

Tenth week! (12/3/20)

This week we came back from our training in escalla to find that the office had been covered head to toe in posters about washing your hands and coronavirus, which made us want to get started on social media campaigns regarding it, including precautions and such. Ahmed has made a video and we're going to link it to a piece of e-learning of a similar topic.
We've been given a deadline to complete a company showreel showing what we're about, our products and such, we have until April 13th to finish it, it's our main project so me and Ahmed will be working heavily on it.
Regarding G-Cloud 12 this week we have completed our application which included answers very lengthy questions and uploading our cloud services and products as well us uploading relevant documents, I had to create a pricing document to upload as we didn't already have one.
Monday was also our new recruit Paul's first day on the job, I feel very important knowing that I'm the reason they found him. He's a lovely bloke and has settled in really well.
On Thursday I went up to Birmingham for the CNO Summit, I experienced my first event working for a company and we managed to get a few leads, we used the banner I designed and I was responsible for taking it home on the train. We posted before, during and after the event all over social media. Ahmed had gone up the following day and done a similar thing.
We had a meeting with Lex and Lewis, we caught up on our progress and more tasks have been assigned on Teams. I gave Lewis access to Hootsuite so he can check what we're posting on social media each week.
I've been going through the resources Emma gave us at escalla regarding our exam, and have been completing the rest of my competitor analysis report. I went through my Onlne/Offline Marketing revision report and made it look more slick as well as designing a cover for it.
I finally completed my Google Digital Garage course and claimed my certifcate. I've now added this to my LinkedIN page.

Ninth week! (2/3/20)

This week we've been training at escalla for our Online and Offline Marketing exam. We've been writing up notes into a report to use for revision with Emma, including the 7 Ps of marketing, Meredith Belbin and more. She's given us loads of helpful sheets for marketing which are great for coming up with campaign ideas. We've also properly started planning for our citizenship project, we now know the proper group we're working with and we've decided our project is going to be based on mental health in schools. I'm going to contact Mind to tell them about our plans and see if we can get hold of some resources.
I've been checking the Premier IT socials to see how our scheduled posts for this week have been doing as well as doing some small tasks for Simon in the hotel in the evenings, we've now made a decision for who we want us our Helpdesk Lead and he starts on Monday.
From now until the next time I'm at escalla it's just going to be revision, revision revision! I'm also going to make a start on my reports on social media at work and finish doing my competitor analysis on L2P, Allocate and Sard JV. Next week is the CNO Summit and I'll be going up with Zaheer on one of the days which will be exciting.
Simon has been emailing me lots of things to be getting started on when I'm back in the office next week, me and Ahmed are going to be creating a showreel but we're waiting on information to be sent to us to put into these videos.
Apart from the boring evenings in the hotel, it's been a productive and successful training week.
