Eighth week! (24/2/20 - 28/2/20)

This week has flown by. Why, the past month as well!
Somehow this morning I found myself collecting the end of month metrics for social media and the website already (lots of green and improvement!) and I've written my monthly report for Simon. Now that we have properly settled in and constantly have work to be getting on with the time just flies. For example...
On Monday we finalised the design for the new roller banner for the CNO Summit. I sent it off to be printed using Solopress.com and it was delivered on Wednesday. It's a little blurry but I made sure to use the correct dimensions (800 x 2000mm) so I have no idea why this happened and there's the teeniest spelling error - for Job Planning it says 'for Medic & AHPs' when really it should be 'Medics'.  None of us noticed until it was printed. Next time I am asked to do something like this I will triple check that everything is perfect before sending it off. It only cost £35 but it's still annoying!
We have also only had 6 people sign up for the webinar today despite sending it to 100 people on email and posting about it on the website and social media constantly. This is a shame, but it's out of our control I suppose.
On Tuesday only 3/4 people turned up for their interview. I know who my favourite is but me and Simon are meeting today to discuss who we're going to hire, and then I will work on the rejection/acceptance emails.
Our presentation to Ian West went really well yesterday, he asked us to send him the metrics every month so he can see what we're achieving, and he says we've made a great start.
We're discussing with Zaheer today what days me and Ahmed are going to do the summit, its on the 11th and 12th so I think he wants one of us to go up with him each day.
We're still using Hootsuite to schedule our posts and it's been really effective, especially when we're in Crewe. We're back for a full week next week and I already have everything sorted so theres nothing to worry about.
Next week I will blog about my time in Crewe and what I learnt!

Seventh week! (17/2/20 - 21/2/20)

Although I took Monday as annual leave this week still ended up being super productive!
Zaheer asked me and Ahmed to schedule and promote their next upcoming Job Planning webinar, I used gotowebinar to create the registration link. I wrote a description for the webinar and we came up with a title before creating an email invitation to send off. I also posted on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIN encouraging people so sign up. I'm going to post about it again on Monday and Wednesday as it's going to be on the 28th. So far we have 5 people signed up to it.
He also wants us to be involved with the CNO summit in March, and has asked us to create a new pop up banner for the stand. I have started doing this, we then need to order it online and I've found a good site called Solopress for this.
I have been helping Simon find a Helpdesk Lead using Indeed, on Wednesday we had 7 phone interviews and 4 of them are coming in next week to meet the team, and then we will make a decision. This included organising loads of interview times and sending invite emails and rejection emails.
Will has also given me more tasks to do using ZOHO regarding reports which I will feedback to Simon.
Instead of posting on social media 3 times a day I have now decided to do it twice a day as I felt like we were spamming peoples feeds a lot and people were unfollowing us.
Looking forward to going back to Crewe next week for Online and Offline Marketing!

Sixth week! (10/2/20 - 14/2/20)

It's been a very productive week. Me and Ahmed are now using Hootsuite to schedule all of our social media posts. Initially I was just using Tweetdeck to schedule tweets, then I would repost that tweet to Facebook manually. Ahmed had to save his Instagram posts to his phone to post them which was tedious. Alas, with Hootsuite we can now schedule everything including LinkedIN posts and we're using it as a planner to see who is posting what and at what time. I am still in charge of Twitter and Facebook but Ahmed has started creating content for them too. We are thinking of paying for some adverts on Facebook to attract more people to the page as it is new and is currently the smallest platform we have.
Simon asked me to post a job advert online for a Help Desk Lead. I did this using Indeed and so far we have had 10 applicants, 7 of which we have scheduled interviews with. I will be printing out the CV's of the people who confirm.
Aaron introduced me to some Google Chrome extensions that are helpful towards marketing - ColorZilla (a virtual eyedropper to find codes of colours used on the page), Fonts Ninja (tells you the name of any font you hover over on the page), Page Ruler and Window Resizer.
The Winter Walk last week was a success, we raised £115! It was lovely to meet Aimee and other members of the RHN.
I am still updating the Premier TV with suitable updates, events, news and internal fun. I've been replying to emails in the Marketing inbox and creating/planning content for Twitter/Facebook, next week's content is already created and scheduled. I think I want to start creating content for LinkedIN/Instagram, I made a birthday post for Ahmed on the 19th using Canva and compared to Photoshop (which I've been using for my posts) it was much more straightforward. We signed up for Canva Pro so we could do more.
I finally completed the ERR workbook and Starting Point Apprentice passport, and have been uploading my off the job training to Skilsure as well as those booklets. I've started working on the 'My Journey' passport as well which I will complete throughout the year
Me and Ahmed are working on a presentation which we are presenting to Ian West the Chairman on the 27th of this month, we will be talking about what we're doing and what our plans are so he has an insight on why we're assets to the company.
Our hotel and train tickets are all booked for our next trip to Crewe on the 2nd of March :)
With the help of Nick Rushton, we have made some small changes to the company website e.g. adding e-learning to the homepage and fixing the footer, removing out of date case studies.
Zaheer Kahn gave me a small task to update a profile about a company and send him a high quality logo. I also helped Simon by scanning a form and turning it into a PDF file to email back to a client, as well as many other small tasks in between everything.

Fifth week! (3/2/20 - 7/2/20)

We have been on our first training week at the escalla academy from Monday to Wednesday this week, completing our induction. We have completed many e-learning courses from topics such as British Values, Radicalisation, Equality and Diversity and more, then uploading these certificates to Skilsure for evidence. We have been briefed about our Citizenship project and other things we will be doing whilst at the academy e.g. exams and such. Me and Ahmed will now be uploading our off the job training to Skilsure as well which will make it much easier.
We have had our first 5 week review with Amanda, lots of documents to sign! We are now also £5 away from reaching our target for the RHN Winter Walk, which we are doing tomorrow. I have finally got access to the GOV.UK digital marketplace so I can start submitting g-cloud figures, and I've been responding and helping Simon with emails in the marketing inbox. My posts on apprenticeship week have gone down really w

Fourth week! (27/1/20 - 31/1/20)

It's been another busy week at Premier IT. I've mainly been focusing on creating Twitter/Facebook content for next week whilst I'm on my first training week for escalla, and using Tweetdeck to schedule when these while be automatically shared. At the moment I try to tweet 3 times a day at 8:50, 10:50 and 12:50, but times can vary. The content has been mainly based on National Apprenticeship Week, World Cancer Day and Time to Talk Day. On Tuesday me and Ahmed had ZOHO training with Will, the software we will be using to create marketing campaigns in the future and other things such as looking up clients and what software they use from us. We also had our weekly marketing meeting with Nikki, Lex and Lewis, we showed them the social media metrics table we created to track analytics and insights every month and we discussed future plans and ideas. At the moment we have raised £75 for the Winter Walk with RHN which is amazing and certainly not the amount I expected. Simon has now given me access to the Marketing inbox so I will definately be busier in the coming weeks!
I'm really looking forward to our first Crewe trip and meeting everyone from escalla who I've been communicating with via email for the past month!
