It's been a very productive week. Me and Ahmed are now using Hootsuite to schedule all of our social media posts. Initially I was just using Tweetdeck to schedule tweets, then I would repost that tweet to Facebook manually. Ahmed had to save his Instagram posts to his phone to post them which was tedious. Alas, with Hootsuite we can now schedule everything including LinkedIN posts and we're using it as a planner to see who is posting what and at what time. I am still in charge of Twitter and Facebook but Ahmed has started creating content for them too. We are thinking of paying for some adverts on Facebook to attract more people to the page as it is new and is currently the smallest platform we have.
Simon asked me to post a job advert online for a Help Desk Lead. I did this using Indeed and so far we have had 10 applicants, 7 of which we have scheduled interviews with. I will be printing out the CV's of the people who confirm.
Aaron introduced me to some Google Chrome extensions that are helpful towards marketing - ColorZilla (a virtual eyedropper to find codes of colours used on the page), Fonts Ninja (tells you the name of any font you hover over on the page), Page Ruler and Window Resizer.
The Winter Walk last week was a success, we raised £115! It was lovely to meet Aimee and other members of the RHN.
I am still updating the Premier TV with suitable updates, events, news and internal fun. I've been replying to emails in the Marketing inbox and creating/planning content for Twitter/Facebook, next week's content is already created and scheduled. I think I want to start creating content for LinkedIN/Instagram, I made a birthday post for Ahmed on the 19th using Canva and compared to Photoshop (which I've been using for my posts) it was much more straightforward. We signed up for Canva Pro so we could do more.
I finally completed the ERR workbook and Starting Point Apprentice passport, and have been uploading my off the job training to Skilsure as well as those booklets. I've started working on the 'My Journey' passport as well which I will complete throughout the year
Me and Ahmed are working on a presentation which we are presenting to Ian West the Chairman on the 27th of this month, we will be talking about what we're doing and what our plans are so he has an insight on why we're assets to the company.
Our hotel and train tickets are all booked for our next trip to Crewe on the 2nd of March :)
With the help of Nick Rushton, we have made some small changes to the company website e.g. adding e-learning to the homepage and fixing the footer, removing out of date case studies.
Zaheer Kahn gave me a small task to update a profile about a company and send him a high quality logo. I also helped Simon by scanning a form and turning it into a PDF file to email back to a client, as well as many other small tasks in between everything.

WOW! What a busy week! It is great to see you are learning lots about different areas of the business. It would be good to put your presentation for Ian in your portfolio. If you still have it, please upload it to Skilsure.
